Supporting women in sport

Championing women in sport

Launched in early 2024, our global "Being a woman shouldn’t be a risk" campaign aligns to our unwavering advocacy for women’s empowerment. All over the world women are disproportionately affected by risks. We have a responsibility to do more, to play our part in driving change and help move the world forward.

At AXA, we support and give visibility to female athletes that inspire us and our future generations. We want to champion women’s sport and inspire others through our partnerships.

Supporter of Cat Burford, the Molar Explorer

Due to her day job as a dentist, Cat has humorously dubbed herself "The Molar Explorer". Over the course of 50 days, she undertook a remarkable solo expedition, traversing a gruelling 704-mile journey across the South Pole on skis, all while hauling her own food, fuel, and equipment.

Impressed by her resilience and Know You Can mindset, we supported her as she embarked on this extraordinary expedition to become only the 13th woman to accomplish this remarkable feat, following in the footsteps of the previous trailblazing female explorers.
